About Prophetess LaDonyae Thomas

The Early Years: Seeds of a Prophetic Calling

From a very young age, LaDonyae Thomas displayed a deep spiritual sensitivity. As a child, she was known to be different—always asking questions, sensing things beyond what others could see, and carrying a discernment she didn't yet understand. She often experienced vivid dreams that would later prove to be early signs of the prophetic calling God had placed on her life.

The Divine Encounter

LaDonyae was baptized in 1998, and in 2001, during a revival service, she was filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. Then, in 2005, during a prayer service, she received the gift of speaking in tongues and was unable to speak English for 24 hours. This divine encounter marked a pivotal moment in her spiritual journey.

During that season, she began waking in the middle of the night with specific states impressed upon her heart. Though she did not fully understand why, she faithfully obeyed the prompting to pray. As her life of intercession deepened, God began revealing the faces of pastors and ministry leaders, along with insight into their burdens and spiritual needs. These encounters ushered her into a deeper dimension of prophetic intercession.

Faithful Service: Building a Foundation

Long before stepping into public ministry, LaDonyae faithfully served alongside her family in her local church, cleaning bathrooms and caring for behind-the-scenes responsibilities with humility and excellence. They were committed to every service, recognizing that faithfulness in private prepares a person for public assignment.

Over time, she served in numerous ministry roles, including Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Director, Assistant to the Women's Auxiliary, Minister, and Evangelist. These assignments cultivated leadership, sacrifice, spiritual maturity, and unwavering obedience, laying the groundwork for the ministry God would later entrust to her.

The Prophetic Emergence

From 2007 to 2009, LaDonyae remained submitted as God prepared her for the next season of her calling. During that time, she participated in evangelistic Friday night services where she was continually stretched through prayer, fasting, and opportunities to minister the Word.

In December 2009, during a service in Jasper, Texas, her former pastor laid hands on her, publicly affirming the call of God upon her life.

Soon afterward, she began prophesying openly for the first time. While God had long spoken to her through dreams, visions, and prayer, this marked a new level of boldness as she publicly declared the Word of the Lord under the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Around that same time, she also began preaching every third Sunday during Youth Sunday services. These consistent opportunities sharpened her voice, strengthened her confidence, and further developed the prophetic grace upon her life.

In January 2010, she received her first speaking engagement outside of her home church, marking the beginning of a broader ministry assignment.

Establishing the Altar: A Place of Prayer

In January 2019, LaDonyae launched The Power of Prayer Intercessory Call, a ministry birthed from years of private consecration, prayer, and surrender. What began as an act of obedience has remained a consistent gathering place for intercessors, prophetic instruction, and corporate prayer.

Official Recognition of a Divine Calling

In 2021, after years of faithfully ministering and operating in her prophetic calling, LaDonyae was formally licensed as both Prophetess and Pastor under the covering of an Overseer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This recognition affirmed what God had already established and what many had witnessed through the fruit of her ministry.

That same year, she founded Faith Builders International Ministries in Lufkin, Texas, a ministry centered on intercession, deliverance, discipleship, and Kingdom truth.

Shortly after establishing the ministry, God directed her to relocate to Lake Charles, Louisiana, where she remained until being released to move to Houston, Texas. Although the transition required leaving behind businesses, relationships, and familiar surroundings, she chose obedience over comfort, embracing the cost of following God's direction wherever He led.

A Ministry of Impact

As the ministry expanded, so did the vision for community outreach. LaDonyae led initiatives including the Community Prayer Parade, Prayer at the Park, Bingo for the Elderly, and free community events designed to strengthen families and neighborhoods.

Through the Heart for the Homeless Program, she continues to demonstrate God's compassion by providing prayer, practical resources, and hope to those often overlooked.

The Prophetic Mandate: Jeremiah 1:10

It is no surprise that LaDonyae has been called to break cycles, confront generational strongholds, and rebuild what has been broken through the truth of God's Word. As the first woman in her family to answer the call to preach, her life reflects both the cost and the reward of being the first to walk in obedience.

Her assignment is to uproot false foundations and confront man-made religious expectations that conflict with the truth of Scripture and help others discover the fullness of who God is. She believes that anything replacing biblical truth can diminish people's understanding of God's power and limit what they believe He is able to do. The ministry God has entrusted to her is prophetic, apostolic, and led by the Holy Spirit. Her ministry is rooted in obedience to the Holy Spirit, biblical truth, prayer, and the authority of God's voice. She is committed to following the leading of the Holy Spirit wherever He directs.

Throughout her journey, she has experienced supernatural encounters, including angelic visitations, an out-of-body experience, miraculous healing, and deliverance ministry, all of which continue to testify to His power and faithfulness.

Prophetess LaDonyae's life is marked by a distinct prophetic anointing, an unwavering commitment to obedience, and a divine assignment that continues to unfold with every step of faith.
